Market Economy?

We have been studying economic systems and how the US economy may be defined. Post a comment regarding our economy and if it is a true market economy or not. Provide evidence to back yourself up.

im not really sure if we are a market ecomony ir not but i guess that i will learn sometime.

Yes the U.S. can be considered a market economy, because it is run by private companies who choose what to make, how to make it, and who to make it for.

Our ecomony is a true market economy, because we have the right to start a new business, and the government can not control said business.

I believe that it can't be a true market economy unless it is only that. The U.S. is also a part capitalist country, therefore it cant be a true market economy because although they are very similar they do also have differences.

i think we are a market economy for the most part, because you can start a new business and buy/sell what you want but there is government control.

yes I would say we are an market economy bc we sell and buy goods and we have democratic forms of government

we have an market economy because we have the rite to start businesses and so forth we also have the rite to a free enterprise!
